Editor in Chief London, UK

I’m Jamie (He/Him), the Editor in Chief at Thred. Keeping up with gaming and revolutionary technology is my forte, but when away from my keyboard, you’ll probably find me wrapped around a large Tango ice blast at the latest mediocre horror flick. Follow me on Twitter, LinkedIn and drop me some ideas/feedback via email.

Hi, I’m Jamie, and I’m the Editor in Chief at Thred.

I studied Freelance Journalism at the British College of Journalism before heading straight into sports writer roles for several football news outlets. Following Manchester United’s decline, I had an immediate change of heart and generously decided to lend my talents to Thred. Now, as the tech and gaming buff, I spend my days obsessing over transformative innovations while grazing on fresh fruit and the occasional hobnob.

Often referred to as the resident cockney, I like to break up the daily hustle by irritating the rest of the office. I also love a headline image on Photoshop and get aroused by a tasty gradient.

Digital subscription services continue to soar post lockdown

From phone screens to the big screen. Is there a more terrifying villain in modern times than Karen? One of 2020’s real life boogeymen, ‘Karen’ has become a pseudonym for the privileged, pedantic (and often bob donning) busybody that preaches anti progressive views online and generally just litters comment sections with cringe inducing complaints. Is Instagram ‘Reels’ a genuine threat to TikTok?

With TikTok edging closer to possible elimination in the US market, Instagram has decided to launch its own short-bite video platform ‘Reels’. But is it good enough to rival TikTok? Exclusive – Meet Ketnipz, the Instagram sensation spreading positivity and mental wellness

At the age of just 21, Harry Hambley has already become an internet sensation through spreading positivity and mental wellness one doodle at a time. An afternoon Zoom call with Harry Hambley (aka Ketnipz) had me rifling through old school planners to see if my brainless scribbles had any kind of value or potential. In the least surprising revelation of 2020, they did not. From personal experience of the comprehensive schooling...
