Puma unveils exciting new collab with British designer Charlotte Olympia

As Puma continues to partner with female-led labels, the footwear brand has just announced an exciting new collaboration with British designer Charlotte Olympia on a boxing-inspired collection to launch this Friday.

Emblazoned with fringe accents, feline touches, and leopard print, it’s clear that Charlotte Olympia has had something to do with the upcoming Puma line launching this Friday. Adding her signature touch to Puma’s traditional silhouettes for her upcoming boxing-inspired collection with the footwear label, Olympia has also worked on a selection of track jackets, shorts, crop tops, bags, and hats to complete the line-up.

‘I enjoy working on a project when I can create a world for the product to come alive in,’ she says, referring to her eponymous brand. ‘I always think of the complete look, even when just designing a pair of shoes or an accessory. I’m predominantly known for my heels and platforms, so it was great to collab with Puma and explore designing a collection focused on sportswear.’

Having already engineered a variety of collabs over the years with big names in the industry such as Havaianas, Agent Provocateur, and MAC Cosmetics (to name a few), it comes as no surprise that Puma would want to tap her ideas during a time in which athletic brands are paying more attention to women.

The label has established a unique niche in the collab game so far by frequently joining forces with independent female designers like Tabitha Simmons and it doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon. ‘We like [to partner] with brands who are female-led and-owned companies,’ said head of global entertainment marketing at Puma, Tracy Pendleton. ‘And we want to be able to lend that support to women that are working in the industry.’

Puma X Charlotte Olympia will be available March 6 on Puma.com, in store, and with select retailers worldwide.
