Hi there! I’m a remote writer that focuses on reporting in the Culture and Change sections, particularly in regards to food sovereignty, political ecology, alternatives to industrial agriculture, ecological ethics, decolonizing environmentalism, climate action planning, and MENA.

Max pursued his undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies, Government, and Arabic Language and Middle Eastern Culture at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. Max is passionate in investigating the connections between environmental ethics, food sovereignty/justice, and grassroots climate action. He’s particularly keen on exploring these topics with us: political ecology, alternatives to industrial agriculture, decolonizing environmentalism, climate action planning, and MENA. He is also the Founder of The Greenzine (greenzine.org), a platform for young folx that aspire to be agents of change in their communities through conversations, artwork, entrepreneurship, research, storytelling, and advocacy.
