‘She’s not the sharpest tool in the shed,’ wrote Musk on X earlier this week. His comments were in response to Billie calling him a ‘pathetic […] coward’ for hoarding wealth instead of donating it to good causes.
Billie Eilish has been hit with new criticism from the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, in a scathing post on his social media platform X.
‘She’s not the sharpest tool in the shed,’ replied Musk to an Eilish fan account that posted screenshots of her original Instagram stories. The singer originally shared links to a post by My Voice My Choice that outlined how Musk could use his wealth to fix global issues.

Following a series of informative posts, Eilish called Musk a ‘pathetic pussy bitch’ and shared ways he could redistribute his money. These included ending world hunger, saving endangered animals, and rebuilding Gaza.
It comes as Musk is reported to become the world’s first trillionaire as a result of Tesla’s new pay plan. As the company’s founder, he will receive a package worth nearly $1 trillion USD across the next decade, and owns 12.8% outright. He already has a personal wealth value of over $500 billion USD.
Musk has been a controversial figure over the past few years.
Whether it’s his undisclosed number of children that at least exceeds the current, confirmed number of 14, openly praising facism and alluding to Nazi mannerisms on stage, or running the platform formerly known as Twitter into the ground, he is seemingly always on the fringes of daily conversation.
Still, despite his enduring relevance in the spotlight, there is growing momentum amongst Gen Zers that he is…well, lame. The tech mogul’s attempts to be relatable and light-hearted have largely backfired, at least recently.
At the beginning of 2025, Musk was found to be cheating in Diablo IV, a popular role-playing title published by Blizzard.
He claimed to be in the global top twenty players, which raised eyebrows given that he owns many major businesses such as SpaceX and Tesla and probably shouldn’t have time to be grinding video games every week. It was later discovered that Musk was ‘account boosting’ and paying for other players to level up his profile; an embarrassing revelation all things considered.
