Hello, I’m Haneen –  I’m a Writer here at Thred with a focus on Indian and Pakistani politics.

Hello and Salaam! I’m Haneen – I come from India and Kashmir, and recently graduated from King’s College London with a degree in Politics. I’m someone who firmly believes that the best stories are the ones that make you think (or at least raise an eyebrow). A lot of my work dives into Indian and Pakistani politics, with a particular focus on Kashmir, where the nuance is often lost in the noise.

But I don’t just stick to hard news – I also love writing about culture, identity, and the stories that make the world a little more interesting. At Thred, I’m here to bring sharp takes, fresh perspectives, and hopefully a few stories that stick with you long after you’ve scrolled past.
