Sneakers you can control with your phone

Step into the future with Nike’s self-lacing Adapt Huarache, a pair of sneakers you can control with your mobile phone.

A fresh update of an already groundbreaking sneaker, Nike have added the über-popular Huarache as the base to their Adapt silhouette, complete with self-lacing technology.

When it drops on September 13th, expect several distinctive colourways to complement the sturdy inset panels and exposed mid-foot cables.

With the sock-like fit – typical of the OG Huarache – the sneakers have a real snug feel to them, thanks to the neoprene bootie and exoskeletal uppers.

In addition, the exterior heel-clip offers the necessary protection for a running shoe and the combo between the two designs is what makes the Adapt Huaraches so innovative.

Monochrome black, white, and grey accents are housed across the breathable mesh upper of each pair, with sturdy inset panels to hold the self-lacing tech in place.

The classic 1991 shoe has also been revamped with a motor at the core of the system and built in LED nodes at the midsole, which are controllable via the app.

Find them next Friday on Nike’s official website and select retailers for $350.

So, what do you think? Will you be copping these glowing kicks?
