The one with the F.R.I.E.N.D.S x Ralph Lauren Collection

To celebrate 25 years since F.R.I.E.N.D.S first aired on TV, Ralph Lauren have just revealed their ‘Wear to Work’ collection based on the iconic ‘90s sitcom.

If you’ve ever watched an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, you’ll know that pretty much everybody’s basing their wardrobes on the show nowadays.

‘90s fashion is in. Sportswear, slip dresses and combat trousers? If you own any of these items then you, perhaps unknowingly, are part of the comeback fashion trend that’s taking over two decades later.

Well now, Ralph Lauren are in on it too. Drawing inspiration from one character in particular, Rachel Green, the luxury brand have collaborated with the Warner Bros franchise to create a range of clothing that’s perfect for the office.

The 74-piece capsule collection called ‘The One Where They Wear Ralph Lauren’ features mini and midi skirts, polo-neck knits, pin-striped suits, calfskin pumps and sophisticated leather boots (to name a few of the items).

‘It’s a celebration of the brand’s role in the series,’ said Ralph Lauren in a statement. ‘Just as Friends proved to be a perennial favourite series for viewers over the last 25 years, this collection reflects Ralph Lauren’s timeless styles and archetypes that have remained a go-to for the modern working woman’.

And who better to base it on than the show’s chicest character? While it’s not technically focused on Rachel, considering that her style far outdoes that of her fellow cast members there are indeed several pieces that scream her name.

From her assortment of amped-up basics to her ubiquitous pleated miniskirts, don’t find it strange if you start getting mistaken for Rachel Green on the street anytime soon.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S x Ralph Lauren highlights how the brand has always been a go-to label for modern working women and we stan. You can shop it all on Ralph Lauren’s website and although some of the pieces are of course on the pricier side of things there are some more affordable items as well.

So, what do you think? Could this partnership be any better? Let us know in the comments.
