The new โ€˜Haunted Hallowsโ€™ update includes a reskin of the Farmstead stadium as well as unlockable, autumn-themed gear for your car.

Stranger Thingsย is a merchandisers dream. With its iconic locations, 80s retro-vibe, and supernatural mystique,ย there are endless possibilitiesย when it comes to tie-ins and crossovers.

Rocket Leagueย is the latest franchise to jump on the hype with a newย Stranger Thingsย Halloween event thatโ€™s live right now. A reworked Farmstead stadium complete with a vintage gradient filter is the big appeal, alongside an assortment of seasonal items you can add to your vehicle.

You have to unlock it all, mind, so expect a little bit of a grind to get everything on offer.ย Rocket Leagueย remains one of my favourite titles ever and I continue to play it obsessively to this day, so if youโ€™re anything like me it wonโ€™t take you too long to acquire everything on offer.

Whatโ€™s included in the update?

The event shows off a mix of Halloween inspired dรฉcor and specificย Stranger Thingsย items, including an animated spider decal, a rocket booster made of orange leaves, and a Demogorgon customised banner for your profile, alongside several other bits and pieces.

Thatโ€™s a healthy selection that should give players a motivational kick to keep invested in the game.

Youโ€™ll need to keep playing online matches to earn currency which you can then spend on items โ€“ and you have roughly four weeks before the event comes to a close. Keep in mind that theย Rocket Leagueย Season Pass mechanic is still in effect alongside theย Stranger Thingsย tie-in, with new challenges being released each week. Thereโ€™s a ton of stuff to do, basically, and XP rewards are aplenty.

Most long-term players will be drawn to the new โ€˜upside downโ€™ skin on Farmstead Manor which features a giant, menacing Demogorgon on the horizon, and recreates the creepy aesthetic of the show in impressive detail.
