I help design and develop our exciting Internship, Ambassador, Remote Writer and Discord Moderator schemes through our Change Maker Network, organise events and campaigns to bring our community together, and maintain relationships with our much-loved partners. Hi, I’m Gemma, and I’m the Community Development Manager here at Thred. I studied Art History at University of Oxford before heading into the creative arts publishing industry, during which time I project edited visually-led design and architecture books. Now, as Community Development Manager at Thred, I lead initiatives to engage and connect our amazing network of change-driven young people. I try to bring as much creativity to the role as possible and can often be found begging Elliot, our talented Design Manager, for some sympathetic praise of my presentations and documents.

A true-crime fanatic, I like to listen to gruesome podcasts to make time spent updating spreadsheets a little more scarring; by now there is little I couldn’t tell you about cults and killers.
